Crochet Fundamentals
Crochet is a fascinating hobby with many stitches and combinations at your disposal. This foundations skills class is for absolute beginners who have never held a hook before, or people who have been frustrated by attempts to learn in the past and want a patient teacher to help guide them. Students will learn up to 3 stitches (time permitting) as well as basic information like how to read a pattern and how to decipher the symbols on a ball band.

This 3-hour workshop demystifies the craft and focuses on building core techniques and confidence.
What You Will Learn:
Chaining the Foundation Row: How to start your project.
Single Crochet: A basic stitch used to make a variety of items, from clothes to amigurumi.
Half-Double Crochet: A looser stitch to add texture and design.
Double Crochet: Most famous for Granny Squares, but also useful to add texture and design.
Crochet Literacy: Crochet terms, how to read a pattern and decipher a yarn’s ball band.
