Drop Spindle: Hand-Spun Yarn Workshop

Have you ever wanted to make your own yarn? It’s easier than you think! In this Beginner Drop Spindle Spinning Workshop you’ll learn how to spin and ply a 2-ply yarn that you can use for knitting, crochet, or weaving.

Skills taught will include how to set up your drop spindle for spinning, the park and draft method working up to suspended spinning, and how to ply 2 spun singles together to make a 2-ply yarn. Students will also receive instructions for how to wet finish the yarn once they get home, to make it stable and ready to use in their favourite yarn craft!
