Granny squares are an iconic part of crochet! Easy to learn, quick to make, and very versatile, they are an absolute must for your tool bag of crochet skills. Once you learn the basic stitch pattern, you can make scarves, blankets, cardigans, pillow covers, bags, and much more. This 3-hour workshop is suitable for absolute beginners. They're a great stash buster, too!

    What You Will Learn:

    • Chain Stitch: The foundation of most crochet projects

    • Double Crochet: Clusters of double crochet stitches create the signature granny square pattern

    • How to sew granny squares together: Granny squares can be made into a wide variety of projects!

  • All students will receive:

    • 5mm crochet hook

    • size 4 (worsted weight) yarn in assorted colours

    • yarn needle

    • buttons

    • tea/coffee/water and a sweet treat (please inform the venue if you have any allergies or dietary requirements)
