Knitting 102: Scarflette @ Good Grief Yarn

You’re comfortable with knits and purls and now you’re ready for the next step: shaping! This simple mini-scarf (or scarflette) course will teach you 3 increases and 3 decreases that will get you ready to tackle knitting projects that are more than just squares and rectangles. And you’ll have a soft, fashionable scarf to add to your spring and fall wardrobe!

  • This course is a follow-up to our Knitting 101 course. Students should be comfortable with casting on, doing knit and purl stitches, and binding off

  • This course - consisting of 2 weekly classes of 1 hour each - will focus on learning basic shaping.

    What You Will Learn:

    • Moving Beyond Squares: How shaping works in knitting

    • 3 Different Increases: Kfb, M1R and M1L

    • 3 Different Decreases: K2tog, SSK and SK2togPSSO

  • This course includes:

    • 1 ball of Yarnalia Wooly superwash merino yarn in your choice of colour (choose the colour at time of booking)

    • 1 pair of knitting needles in the appropriate size for the project
